Seguramente ya has oído las espresiones Pythium, Fusarium, Verticillium, …” y todos esos nombres terminados en “ium” que crean estragos y desolación en plantaciones y cultivos.
En todas las estaciones, pero especialmente cuando hace calor, muchos cultivadores hidropónicos sufren alguna infecciíon por hongos en las raíces de sus plantas.
Para combatirlas, algunas empresas presentan esterilizadores UV, enzimas, polvos de tricoderma, etc… con más o menos éxito. Por cierto, también puedes utilizar funguicidas, que encontrarás en cualquier comercio especializado. Pero todos sabemos que los funguicidas son nocivos para las personas y también para el medio ambiente.

Como expertos y consultores en hidroponia, muchas veces nos han llegado preguntas acerca de la putrefacción y los hongos de las raíces y, por cierto, este tema ha sido una gran preocupación para nosotros … hasta ahora. Durante varios años hemos investigado en forma intensiva cómo eliminar los agentes protógenos de la solución nutritiva, manteniéndola natural y la más ecoloógica posible.

SubCulture es una mezcla de micro-organismos benéficos que protegen las raíces de los hongos patógenos que las atacan, envolviéndolas con una barrera protectora, impidiendo la reproducción y supervivencia de una gran cantidad de sus “predatores”.

¿Cómo trabaja SubCulture ?

Envuelve íntegramente las raíces con un micelio protector que impide la llegada de alimento a los gérmenes patógenos, crecer, reproducirse y, por lo tanto, sobrevivir.

SubCulture tiene también una segunda función, igualmente esencial :
esta acertada mezcla de bacterias descompone los desechos en suspensión en la solución nutritiva y permite transformar una materia orgánica potencialmente portadora de enfermedades en sales minerales suplementarias fácilmente disponibles para la planta.

¿Cuándo y dónde se debe utilizar?

SubCulture es una defensa natural 100% biológica.
En tierra se reproduce con facilidad y se puede agregar simplemente al agua de riego.
En cultivo hidropónico es necesario utilizarla con el BioFiltre (ver información sobre BioFiltre), un aparato que crea las condiciones necesarias para su reproducción, gracias a las pequeñas « estrellas » en las cuales habita y que permiten su conservación en condiciones de vida tan largas como sea posible.
Para ahorrar la compra del BioFilter, también se puede utilizar 10% de fibra de coco, con 90% de Grorox, y añadir el SubCulture

Se utiliza tanto como preventivo o curativo.
10 g/150 L – cada 6 semanas.
Cuando se preparan las semillas en remojo, agregado en el agua del riego para las plantas de tierra, o directamente en el agua del depósito en caso de cultivo hidropónico.

BM y SubCulture son dos productos diferentes. SubCulture elimina los hongos patógenos en las raíces y descompone la materia orgánica en la solución nutritiva. BM sirve solo para descomponer la materia orgánica. Si se utiliza ya el SubCulture, no es necesario utilizar el BM.

Las Estrellas

Las Estrellas están hechas de un substrato poroso, atravesado por canales minúsculos calibrados con precisión para que el oxígeno, el agua y las partículas en suspensión puedan circular perfectamente. Así ofrecen a sus huéspedes el entorno que necesitan para mantenerse sanos, con energía y eficaces.

Son necesarias 7 Estrellas para brindar a SubCulture un hábitat adecuado en el cual se pueda instalar cómodamente y reproducir.
Son «auto-limpiantes» en la medida que las partículas muertas son fácilmente expulsadas fuera del hábitat, para permitir a los recién nacidos gozar de un entorno limpio y sano.
No necesitan ningún cuidado particular. Se pueden aclarar en ese momento y es recomendable reemplazar la mitad cada 4 a 6 meses.
Su color negro impide el desarrollo de algas.
